ABOUT
Fishermans cottage is a secluded detached cottage sitting in the heart of beautiful Port Isaac with quality fittings to help you unwind and relax to enjoy all that Port Isaac has to offer you and right on you doorstep, with the harbour and slipway only moments away. Port Isacc has been a fishing village since the early 14th century, and has been intrinsically linked to the sea with fishing still playing a huge part in the lives of the locals. Most of the present-day village dates back to the 18th and 19th centuries with 17 Rosehill along with many others, now listed and protected, staying in Fishermans cottage takes you back to the 1800's but with some modern comforts of the 21st century to enjoy......

OUR ROOMS
There are two generous double bedrooms both very light and airy providing a good nights sleep after your long days exploring the coast............
With the master bedroom affectionately known as 'The Captains Mess' having a beautiful en-suite, with the second double bedroom, referred to as 'The First Officers Mess' which also benefits direct access to the family bathroom.

Breakfast
Fishermans cottage provides you with all the utilities and cooking utensils to cook -up your very own hearty english breakfast or simply go continental.
Free Wifi
Fishermans cottage provides free Wifi allowing guests a chance to catch up on any business related work or to simply browse and check out any live events close to Port Isaac. Wifi code is located in our welcome pack.
Garden
Why not pop up onto the elevated garden where we have a beautiful deck area complete with pergola and additional spaces to enjoy alfresco dining or just layback, sunbathe and relax looking into the harbour with stunning vies of the surrounding area.
Housekeeping
Before your arrival, Fisherman's cottage undergoes a complete houseclean with fresh bed linen and towels to make your stay as comfortable as possible. All we ask is a courtesy gesture to leave the cottage in a clean state after your stay
Swim
For those more adventurous why not take an early morning dip in the sea where many locals take a heathy dip each day, regardless of the season.
Out Side Services
There are a number of restaurants local to the port however, it is strongly advisable to pre-book your table should you want to eat out as most places can get booked very quickly, therefore, to avoid disappointment book early.

THINGS TO DO
Boat Trips
There are plenty of opportunities to see Port Isaac’s surrounding marine life via local organised boat trips. Boat trippers will have a chance to see dolphins along with a variety of seabirds, whilst taking in the beautiful coastline of North Cornwall. There are also Kayaking trips locally.
Cultural Sites
There are many places to visit in and around Cornwall with Tintagel Castle being just one of them, why not escape to Tintagel castle which is steeped in legend on Cornwall’s north coast. Uncover tales of King Arthur and explore the medieval ruins perched on the clifftops.
Doc Martin Tour
Why not book a guided tour and go behind-the-scenes of British TV drama Doc Martin. Tours consist of a 90-minute walking tour of Port Isaac. Covering memorable filming locations like the Doc’s house, Louisa’s school and Mrs. Tishell’s pharmacy as you explore the fictional village known to many as Portwenn.
Walking Activities
There are many local coastal walks consisting of; a figure-of-8 walk from St Endellion to Port Isaac, and a circular walk from Port Gaverne around Port Isaac Bay to Barretts Zawn, plus a further two circular walks one being along the rollercoaster path from Port Quin, descending into Port Isaac and Port Quin to the golden sandy beaches of Epphaven Cove and Lundy Bay
Camel Trail
Fancy a Camel ride without a Camel! The Camel Trail is an 18 mile largely traffic free, surfaced and virtually level multi use trail. It provides access to the beautiful Cornish countryside along a disused railway line between Wenfordbridge, Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow. The trail is suitable for walkers, cyclists, horse-riders and wheel-chair users.
Places To Eat
In Port Isaac, you’ll never find yourself hungry. Around every corner, there’s a homely café or local pub offering a wide selection of different foods which you can work your way through during your stay. You will also find tea and cake, fish and chips and a fine-dining restaurant all within reach of Port Isaac village.
